Corn is the basis for compostable cutlery made from renewable resources.

Corn -- This translucent off-white cutlery is made from corn-derived polylactic acid and has the look and feel of plastic. It breaks down in commercial compost applications or when your compost pile reaches 65°C (135°F). It is not recommended for use with very hot items.
